National Philanthropy Day: Celebrating Cocky’s Reading Express

Cocky shaking a tail feather during the flash mob!

For National Philanthropy Day on November 15th, Cocky and some friends from around campus took to Greene street for pictures, music, and a really swell time. Despite the cold weather, Cocky got out there and shook a tail-feather during the flash mob to Vietnamese Artist Psy’s “Gangnam Style” and took pictures with Gamecock fans. With his involvement in Cocky’s Reading Express and his efforts to improve literacy in the South Carolina community, he reminded us all why he deserves to be recognized and honored in the form of a statue. Help support him in this journey to “Gibbes” Cocky a Home!

“Gibbes” Cocky a Home Part 1

Take a look around Gamecock country and you’ll see more than a few friends from the animal kingdom. But what about Cocky? As a valuable part of USC’s traditions, service projects, and school culture, Cocky is an exemplary icon for what it means to be a Gamecock. Join him on his quest to find a home where he can be forever celebrated in the form of a sculpture as a part of South Carolina tradition!
